Since our founding in 1988, the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) has advocated for a culture of safety to help reduce the injury rate and fatalities in Alberta’s construction industry.
With more than 55,500 members, ACSA is proud to be Alberta’s trusted partner in construction safety. ACSA operates as a not-for-profit society registered under the Alberta Societies Act and is governed by a Board of Directors representative of our members.
Our programs and services
Guided by our vision, mission and values, ACSA delivers programs and services that are driven by a vision of safe workplaces for our members and the entire industry.
We provide quality safety training in various formats to meet the needs of our stakeholders, including in-person classes, virtual instructor-led training, and on-demand online courses.
We deliver the Certificate of Recognition (COR) and Small Employer Certificate of Recognition (SECOR) programs to enable employers and workers to build and continually improve comprehensive health and safety management systems for their workplaces.
And we administer the National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO)™ and Health and Safety Administrator (HSA) designations to equip the construction industry with skilled and trusted safety leaders.
"For the second consecutive year, ACSA was recognized by the Canada’s Safest Employer Awards as Canada’s best industry provider for safety training. This award recognizes collaborative efforts between our staff, trainers and many stakeholders."
